The Open 13 Provence semifinals brought a big surprise as Serbia’s Hamad Medjedovic pulled off a stunning upset against top seed Daniil Medvedev, while France’s Ugo Humbert cruised past Zizou Bergs to reach the final.
Medjedovic, showing no fear against the former world No. 1, dominated the match from start to finish. With powerful groundstrokes and confident play, he wrapped up a convincing 6-3, 6-2 victory, leaving Medvedev struggling to find answers.
Meanwhile, local favorite Humbert had a smooth ride against Belgium’s Zizou Bergs, controlling the match with sharp shot-making and steady play to win 6-4, 6-4.
With the final set, Medjedovic will look to continue his dream run, while Humbert aims to lift the trophy on home soil.
