In a stunning run at the Dallas Open, American qualifiers Christian Harrison and Evan King defied the odds, clinching their first-ever ATP title without dropping a set. The duo triumphed over Ariel Behar and Robert Galloway in a nail-biting final, winning 7-6(4), 7-6(4).
Harrison and King, playing just their second ATP event as a team, proved their chemistry on the court, outlasting their higher-ranked opponents with grit and precision. The victory marked a breakthrough moment, especially for King, who had never played in an ATP final before.
“This week has been unbelievable,” Harrison said during the trophy ceremony, thanking his partner, family, and the Dallas crowd. “Looking forward to more moments like this.”
The road to the title wasn’t without drama—King had a chance to serve for the championship at 5-4 in the second set but couldn’t close. Yet, they held their nerve, with King sealing the win with a brilliant backhand lob and poaching volley.
Now ranked seventh in the PIF ATP Live Doubles Rankings, Harrison and King have announced their arrival in style. From Challenger finals to ATP champions, their journey is just beginning.
