Taylor Fritz Dominates All-American Final to Win Lexus Eastbourne Open Title

Taylor Fritz capped off a flawless week at the Lexus Eastbourne Open 2025 by storming past fellow American Jenson Brooksby in the final, 7-5, 6-1, to clinch the men’s singles title. This marks Fritz’s second career title at Eastbourne and another strong statement ahead of Wimbledon.

The final showcased a classic all-American clash on grass, but it was Fritz who proved too powerful and composed under pressure. After a closely contested first set where both players held serve with grit, Fritz broke Brooksby at 6-5 to snatch the set. From there, the 26-year-old raised his level significantly, dominating the second set with aggressive baseline play and superb serving to close out the match in just over an hour.

Fritz’s Road to the Title

Fritz came into Eastbourne with purpose, looking to gain momentum before Wimbledon. He started strong with early-round wins that highlighted his efficient grass-court game. In the quarterfinals, he overcame a tricky opponent with consistent serving and flat groundstrokes. The semifinal saw him face off against a dangerous left-hander, but Fritz’s calm under pressure and big-match experience paid off.

Each match saw Fritz building confidence, and by the time he reached the final, he was firing on all cylinders. Against Brooksby, he controlled the tempo, moved well on the slick surface, and played a near-flawless second set.

“It feels great to win here again,” said Fritz after the final. “This is the perfect way to prepare for Wimbledon. I’ve been working hard, and I feel really good about my game on grass right now.”

Fritz now turns his attention to Wimbledon 2025, where his strong serve, clean ball-striking, and Eastbourne momentum make him one of the top threats on the men’s side. With two titles already this year and a growing confidence on grass, the American star will be one to watch at the All England Club.
