🌸 Roland Garros 2025 Women’s Quarterfinals: Sabalenka Powers Through, Swiatek Silences Svitolina

The women’s singles quarterfinals at the 2025 Roland Garros delivered power-packed performances and elite tennis as top seeds Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek marched into the semifinals with commanding wins. The Parisian clay saw world-class rallies, nerves of steel, and some serious Grand Slam grit from two of the tour’s fiercest competitors.

💥 Aryna Sabalenka Overcomes Zheng Qinwen in Straight Sets

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka showed why she’s the top seed with a rock-solid performance against China’s rising star Zheng Qinwen. Though Zheng put up a fierce fight in the first set, pushing it to a tiebreak, Sabalenka’s power and precision proved too much. She sealed the tiebreak 7-6(3) and followed it up with a dominant 6-3 second set to book her place in the semifinals.

The Belarusian looked focused and aggressive, dictating play with her heavy groundstrokes and powerful serve, keeping Zheng on the back foot throughout.

🎯 Iga Swiatek Dispatches Elina Svitolina in Straight Sets

On the other side of the draw, Poland’s clay-court queen Iga Swiatek was in peak form as she took down Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina in straight sets. Swiatek was clinical and composed from start to finish, winning 6-1, 7-5 in just under 90 minutes.

Swiatek, the No. 5 seed, dictated the tempo and used her signature topspin-heavy shots to control the rallies. Although Svitolina made a valiant effort in the second set, Swiatek’s superior movement and strategy sealed the win. She now moves one step closer to another French Open crown.

With both Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek through to the semifinals, fans can expect fireworks in the final rounds. Will Sabalenka’s power overpower the clay? Or will Swiatek’s finesse reign supreme once again in Paris?
