In an exclusive interview, Osaka opens up about breaking free from societal expectations and the intense pressures of professional tennis. “Freedom is no longer caring what others think,” she says, emphasizing the shift in her priorities after becoming a mother. For Osaka, joy now lies in spending time with her daughter Shai and being a role model. “As long as I am there for her, no outside voice matters,” she adds.
The tennis superstar also touches on her love for the game, now guided by one simple question: “Win or lose, am I still really loving playing the game?”
