“Australian Open 2025: How Much Did Sinner, Zverev, Keys, and Sabalenka Earn?”

The Australian Open 2025 crowned its champions with thrilling performances and record-breaking payouts. Italian star Jannik Sinner clinched his second consecutive Australian Open title, defeating Germany’s Alexander Zverev in straight sets, 6-3, 7-6, 6-3. This victory made Sinner the first man since Rafael Nadal to defend his maiden Grand Slam title.

How much did Sinner earn?
Sinner walked away with a massive payday, earning AU$3.5 million (approximately US$2.2 million or ₹17.5 crore). Madison Keys, the women’s singles champion who defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final, took home the same amount.

What about the runners-up?
Alexander Zverev, who came up short in the men’s final, earned AU$1.9 million (around US$1.2 million or ₹9.6 crore). Similarly, Aryna Sabalenka, runner-up in the women’s singles, matched Zverev’s prize despite her frustration, which was evident as she smashed her racquet after losing to Keys.

Prize money for semi-finalists
Semi-finalists Novak Djokovic, Ben Shelton (men), Iga Swiatek, and Paula Badosa (women) each earned AU$1.1 million (approximately US$690,000 or ₹5.9 crore).

Doubles and mixed doubles champions
The winners of the doubles events also bagged hefty paychecks. Men’s doubles champions Henry Patten and Harri Heliövaara, women’s doubles champions Taylor Townsend and Katerina Siniaková, and mixed doubles champions Olivia Gadecki and John Peers each earned AU$810,000 per team (around US$511,515 or ₹4 crore). The runners-up took home AU$440,000 (approximately US$277,860 or ₹2.4 crore).

From dramatic victories to emotional defeats, the Australian Open 2025 showcased not just top-tier tennis but also life-changing prize money for the sport’s elite players.
