Love & Tennis: Tsitsipas and Badosa Eye US Open Mixed Doubles Glory

Tennis power couple Stefanos Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa are set to bring their chemistry to the court once again! After winning the 2024 US Open’s “Mixed Madness” exhibition, the duo has confirmed plans to compete in the tournament’s revamped mixed doubles event this year.

Tsitsipas revealed the news after his first-round victory in Dubai, expressing his unwavering commitment to Badosa as his partner. “She’s the only mixed doubles partner I’d ever choose,” he said.

The United States Tennis Association (USTA) is reimagining mixed doubles, introducing a 16-team draw, shorter sets, and a fresh new format designed to attract top singles players. Other big names, including Taylor Fritz, Jessica Pegula, and Aryna Sabalenka, have also shown interest.

However, reigning US Open champion Coco Gauff won’t be participating, citing concerns about the event’s timing and its impact on her singles preparation.

With excitement building, Tsitsipas and Badosa are ready to turn their off-court romance into on-court dominance. Could they claim the US Open mixed doubles crown? Tennis fans won’t want to miss this dynamic duo in action!
